Spicy Lamb Casserole


1kg boned lamb

1/2 cup white wine

1/2 cup white vinegar

1 onion, sliced

1 teaspoon salt

pinch thyme

pinch marjoram

water to cover

1 cup cooked rice

3 tablespoons raisins


Cube meat and remove fat.

Marinate one hour in wine and vinegar.

Add sliced onion, salt, thyme and marjoram.

Put all these ingredients into a greased casserole dish.

Add water and cover. Cook gently for 1-2 hours.

Add raisins - and serve with steamed rice.
