Salad Cream


This Salad Cream recipe is the original handed down through my family for generations - I haven't changed so much as a hint of anything. Try it, you'll love it.

1/2 oz sugar

1 teaspoon mustard

1 teaspoon slt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 egg

1/4 pint milk

1 oz butter

2 tablespoons vinegar


Mix the sugar, mustard, salt, pepper and beaten egg all together.

Add the milk, and cook carefully over a gentle heat until the salad cream thickens.

Add the butter and vinegar, mix well and leave to cool.
