Greek Stew

Ingredients:



1.25kg stewing beef

flour

oil

10 small onions

1 cup tomato paste

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

1 cup water

2 cups red wine

3 sliced carrots

3 potatoes, cubed

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Method:

Cut the meat into cubes and coat in flour.

Brown the mean in oil, and place in a casserole dish.

Brown onions and add to casserole

Add tomato paste, water and red wine.

Cover and bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for an hour.

Add carrots, potatoes, salt, pepper and cinnamon

Cover and cook for a further 30 minutes.
